Call for Proposals - 2012 Investors Group Skate to Care
We will be announcing the successful recipients of funding in May.
Guidelines for funding
- MindCare New Brunswick will not provide financial support to any "profit making" or fund-raising venture; moreover, funds are not to be provided for educational or research purposes which could be funded by other monies already set aside by MindCare for such purposes.
- Funds cannot be used for any item or project that is "operational" in nature; i.e., that which entails an ongoing operating expense such as computer and office equipment, salaries, administration fees, etc.
- Since monies are limited and demand is great, applicants for funding must show they have exhausted all other sources of alternative funding available to them.
- Acknowledgement of MindCare sponsorship in all printed materials and other marketing instruments is mandatory. It is this type of promotional activity that assists in fund-raising and thereby the replenishment of Foundation resources.
- Requests for funding will be considered from all regions and organizations who have actively participated in fundraising for Skate-to-Care.
- Preference will be given to projects which provide ongoing benefits to the greatest number of individuals.
- Preference will also be given to projects which are preventive in nature or which focus on children and/or adolescents. This, however, does not preclude funding to any project or program which is demonstrated to be filling a real need for mental health services.
