Our surgeons are looking to take brain surgery from a procedure that necessitates a saucer-sized cranial opening to one that only requires keyhole access. A six inch diameter opening reduced to a single inch – astounding! The impact this change will have, will be incredible. A smaller opening for surgery cuts down on risk and recovery time for our patients, operating room time and hospital bed stay. These impacts are positive not only for our patients but for our healthcare system. Your gift will make a valuable impact.

The purchase of these items will greatly and immediately benefit New Brunswick and PEI’s neurosurgery patients. Smaller and more precise incisions mean less opportunity for infection, shorter recovery time, and fewer days in hospital for our patients. Over the life of the machines, well over 4,000 New Brunswickers - your family, your neighbours -- would directly benefit from your generosity.
